KAN Mississippi Burning remains one of the most powerful films about America's long struggle against racial prejudice and violence. Its a shame that murdering three innocent boys serving those in need would be the ones killed, however, there were many people killed that are not even known to this date as racism was tolerated without legal worries back than! I really enjoyed this movie. Can't say how many times I've watched this film, excellent script and top class acting. The title reflects the burning of buildings by the KKK, who were very influential during this period. Not seen this for some years, and I find now that it has lost none of its intense dramatic power, much of which is down to the incredible performance of Gene Hackman who clearly demonstrates he is one of cinemas greatest stars. The atmosphere and terrible injustices are very well portrayed and it's based on a true story. It had strong racist language and violence in it, with a lot of references to the Ku Klux Klan in Mississippi in 1964 during the years of segregation. Watch with Prime ... The FBI want to find the boys and this film shows the frustrations and obstructive behaviour they encounter in trying to get to the truth. I'm still amazed to this day when I get blank stares after I've asked someone have they seen Mississipi Burning. I hope. Surely, this must become a classic. R POOR QUALITY PRODUCT This DVD was very satisfactory - it was of very poor quality, towards the end of the film it kept 'sticking', making it very awkward viewing I watched both editions back to back in within a few days and I can confirm this new US edition (4k scan from original film elements) is definitely the superior version than the previous blu ray version. If you have not seen this movie for a long time, re-live it now - the best of its kind. Hackman plays his worldly junior partner - he's from the South himself, imperfect, tough but with a big heart.

One day, Ben visits Jongsu's with Haemi and confesses his own secret hobby. This is one of my all time favourite films. One of the best films ever made. An education in itself, this film carries an historical message that, hopefully, few can live with.
