Good selection of early-mid career Elton. I knew they just put it together so that he could fulfill contractual obligations but it could have been so much better.

Played it almost nopn-stop for the first few days I believe all the original recordings at both venues are on these two CD's, including John Lennon. Under rated album made much better by the inclusion of several songs not on the original LP. This New York concert is very special, of course, because it includes a guest appearance by John Lennon, where he and Elton perform three songs together.

This is compelling because of the inclusion of John Lennon singing two duets with Elton, neither of which were included on the original vinyl album. Then EJ's band launches into the 1963 Beatles classic, "I Saw her Standing There. Disc one is highlights from the Royal Festival Hall concert in London, while disc two is from Madison Square Garden in New York. With the first incarnation of this album - was only one record.
